Memo on Gradual Return to Rockwell Campus

Date                :           11 December 2021

Memo to          :           AGSB Community

From                :           (sgd.) Jowett Cecilio F. Magsaysay, MBA, PhD

Dean

Subject             :           Gradual Return to Rockwell Campus

After almost two years, Ateneo Graduate School of Business will gradually return to onsite classes in Rockwell campus starting February 2022, with pilot synchronous sessions for selected courses.

Starting with Term 3 of MBA Regis, Second Trimester for MBA Standard, MBA for Middle Managers, and MBA Health, we will be offering synchronous sessions to experiment with Flex learning modes for selected courses only. Flex means a combination of face to face (in-person) and virtual (online). The different learning modes are defined below.

What we would learn from conducting and participating in these sessions will prepare us for the return to Rockwell campus in the first terms of all programs for SY 2022-2023, starting September 2022. Until then all classes will continue to be conducted in fully virtual mode, except for the pilot sessions to be identified.

You will know if your course will offer the pilot sessions on the first day of your classes starting Jan. 31, 2022 for MBA Standard, MBA for Middle Managers, and MBA Health, and Feb. 21, 2011 for MBA Regis. Your professor will be asking the class if you would opt for the pilot session(s).  Only a select few classes will be offering these sessions.

For students in the satellite campuses – Sta. Rosa, Clark, Iloilo, and Cebu – the classes will be fully virtual only. We will announce if there will be other learning modes for the satellite campuses for SY 2022-2023.

Strict safety and health protocols are in place to protect the AGSB community. All employees and guests entering the Rockwell campus should be fully vaccinated or undergo the appropriate COVID-19 testing required by government regulations.

As the pandemic situation remains uncertain, all plans are subject to change depending on the circumstances and new directives issued by IATF, DepEd, CHED, DOH, DOLE, the Makati local government, and other pertinent government agencies.

More information, including detailed guidelines, will be released in the coming days via the AGSB Back to Campus Bulletin. In the meantime, if you have questions, please email dean.gsb@ateneo.edu.

We’re excited to see you soon in the Rockwell campus!
